Itinerary

4:00 a.m. – Hotel Pickup
Depart very early from Cusco to begin the journey south toward the Vinicunca region.
6:30 a.m. – Breakfast in Cusipata
Stop in this charming village for a traditional Andean breakfast to energize before the hike.
7:30 a.m. – Arrival at Phulawasipata & Start of Trek
Begin the trek from this point (4,600 m / 15,100 ft) with a 1.5–2 hour uphill hike. The trail is wide and scenic, surrounded by llamas, alpacas, and puna landscapes.
9:30 – 10:00 a.m. – Arrival at the Summit of Vinicunca (5,036 m / 16,520 ft)
Take time to rest, admire the view, take photos, and listen to your guide explain the geology, culture, and spiritual significance of the area.
11:00 a.m. – Descent & Return to Transport
Descend along the same trail, enjoying different perspectives of the valley.
1:00 p.m. – Lunch in Cusipata
Enjoy a delicious Andean buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
2:00 p.m. – Return to Cusco
Travel back to the city, taking in the highland scenery one last time.
5:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Arrival in Cusco & End of Tour
