Itinerary
Our journey begins in the town of Pitumarca, where the hike toward Waqrapukara starts. The ascent, lasting approximately two hours with a gentle slope, allows travelers to enjoy the natural surroundings and observe the local flora and fauna, with high chances of spotting vicuñas, Peru’s emblematic animal. Along the way, the landscape offers spectacular views of the Andes, perfect for connecting with nature and capturing memorable photographs. We will then arrive at the campsite, where we will spend the night under a starry sky, surrounded by the majesty of the Andean mountains.
After a restful night, we will dedicate the morning to visiting the archaeological complex of Waqrapukara. Its strategic location and the energy radiating from its mountains make this visit a unique experience, where each traveler will feel blessed by the spiritual strength of the Apus. The tranquility of the site and the limited number of visitors make the experience intimate and deeply enriching. During the return, we will be supported by pack animals and local staff, which also contributes to the economic development of the community. Finally, we will return to Cusco, carrying in our hearts unforgettable memories of this Andean adventure.
